Transitions

The transition from summer to fall to winter, in Central Florida is gradual, but at the same time an abrupt process to say-the-least (contradicting, I know). In early Autumn, the hope of any breeze or slight draught is hopeless. The air takes it’s time to thin out and even then, the sun is still close enough to heat your car to about 98 degrees. Slowly but surely acorns start to fall like hail from the oak trees, the surrounding colors start to saturate and the constant humidity dissipates drastically. The rain comes and goes for about a week and then the cold front arrives – unexpected and seemingly much colder than it really is. Us Floridians live tropically, so we start to shiver and chatter our teeth anytime the temperature drops below 60 degrees fahrenheit.

I personally prefer this climate change. Not only can I dress comfortably, I can enjoy the outdoors without sweating profusely. In the midst of this transition into the end of the year, work and inspiration comes in large doses. I find this to be the best part, though. With projects constantly in front of my eyes, it reminds me of how far I’ve come in a matter of about three years. This remembrance doesn’t make me feel like a bad-ass or a big shot but shows me how much further I have to go. As goals are met, new ones are created. For myself, this is an everlasting process in which I can’t get out of – not that I would want to. All in all, this time of the year provides for a creative rush from all sides. It’s refreshing and ultimately rewarding to embrace the change and focus on thepresent transition.

With that said, I am happy to post the following collection of images. Consider it a refresh since my last post, containing select shoots and projects that I have been working on and are currently under way. Take your time to scroll down, I wouldn’t want you to miss anything. I mean, you’ve already read through my nonsense thus far, why not finish up like a man? Haha, I’m only joking but if you succeed, I do appreciate it dearly. Enjoy..
